If everyone did this not much would get done. The ability to deal with conflict resolution is definitely non-existent now. I just don't see how that helps.

Not knowing the specifics of your friend and her dynamic with those around her, I can only respond to the general point. While the quote from the blog is taken out of it’s original context, your point is never the less valid. Many people spend most of their time worrying or angry about things that they cannot do anything about. This stresses the body and prevents them from experiencing the richness of this moment. All around you, all of the time is an indescribable richness, fullness and beauty. The reason why most people’s experience of life is not like that is because they spend most of their time caught up in habitual thought. None of the thoughts are present; none of them are about here and now. This unconscious habit is the sole reason that life is not experienced as continuously rich. The state of being present is not at all “zombie like.” It is actually the most alive of states. Sometimes there are those who use the concept of being present to avoid the challenges of life, but this is not an answer, nor is it the result of awareness resting in it’s source. With guidance and willingness this can be seen and let go of, and the richness of what it means to truly live can continue to flower. If you see someone avoiding life, love them enough to tell them. My personal experience of many, many hundreds of people having the courage to discover who they are is that life does indeed continue to become more and more full and vibrant. Sometimes this requires continued guidance and support to move beyond subtle limitations and concepts as they arise. All conflict arises from the holding of positions. It is now April 18. Thank you Narain for validating what I thought I already knew. For me disappointment is like a flinching human reaction. I did experience that flinch and then I moved on. I am just going to treat that new truth as a data point from where I can make future decisions. I do know that hiding truth can not be validated. And this is where it all starts to unravel. I continue to wonder what the fear is in dialogue.

I can visualize the twenty beds beings how deep these emotions can be. The pea is the habitual groove/pattern at an almost subconscious level still being touched by waking state events preventing restful sleep. Much appreciation, Satta. Your posting resonates so loudly with me! We've had a whole lot more snow than usual where I live (3 feet!), and I started to snarl about all the shoveling and scraping and bundling in many layers needed every time I went anywhere. Thankfully, I remembered fairly quickly that peace is always my choice: in the midst of snow-shoveling and ice scraping, in sore muscles and wet feet, Stillness is present . . . if I just relax and let go. How do I spell "relief?" A-S-C-E-N-S-I-O-N! ;-)

Hi, in the piece about peace, it talks about anchoring oneself in the notion of not being the mind, or the emotions, or the drama, and one so often hears not the body either... I would like to suggest that it would be more helpful to state that we are the body, the mind, the drama etc, but it is not the totality of who we are.. The ego and the mind get a bad press these days, and it may be vitally important to recognise they have there place within exsistence and our development, but not to become overwhelmed by them, and identify with them as being our whole selves.. To suggest we are not these things, I have observed can cause a division in people, because they feel certain aspects of their being are inferior, or to be avoided to the point of internal division. To face the drama, to recognise that it absolutely comes from the source of creation inorder to enable us to see ourselves more clearly. Without the drama, the ego, the potions of separation, where would we be??? They have their place in the grand unfolding of creation
