Wake up and smell the coffee...second cup

After spending several consecutive days in various airports and city hotels on my way to some courses, the old question,“What’s it all about?” was playing over in my mind like a broken record. So many people sleepwalking through life, without really knowing what it means to be alive.

The whole experience of life seems set up so that everything is a constant barrage to the senses. The vast majority of humanity knows no other way to live, and as a consequence, is driven, quite literally, like cattle to market.

I’m all for having stuff if you want it, but the perception of needing to have the next ipod, itouch, icar, ipartner in order to be happy is immense.  It is so obvious that behind the mad illusion there is a conscious effort to keep it in play, like some kind of perverted sociological experiment; a global reality TV show for the viewing pleasure only of those who created it.

The sad part is, so few people want to change it.  Everything could change in an instant if enough people just looked around and said, “What the heck are we doing?”  The illusion of fear and lack is so thin; it is amazing how the human race is bound by it.

It is not necessary to combat anything or overthrow a system, it is simply necessary to unplug from it.  The way to do that is to go beyond it, to Ascend, or rise above it.  Not difficult to do, because the whole thing exists only in the mind.  To rise above ‘the system,’ it is only necessary to rise above the mind.

The mass consciousness of humanity is like the proverbial camel, tied to a stake with an imaginary rope.  It believes itself bound so intensely, that it refuses to move until the imaginary rope is untied.

Every person on the planet is an expression of radiant, limitless consciousness. It is not possible, in reality, for that which is limitless to be limited in any way, and yet, what the mind believes to be real, is real.

While identified with the mind, when the world says ‘fear’ the response is ‘yes.’ When the world says ‘limited’ the response is ‘of course.’ When the world says ‘enemy’ the response is ‘hate, kill.’

When one rises above the reactions and judgments of the mind, when the world says ‘fear, limitation, enemy, lack,’ the reaction is Silence, Love, Joy, Peace.

The funniest part is that the choice is so easy to make.  Because the habit of identification with the mind is so ingrained, the Ishayas have left us these incredible tools of Ascension that do just that.  They remind us how to let go of the mind, and directly experience what was always there: Silence.  Clarity. Perfect wholeness. Divinity. Freedom.

For those who have the knowing that life was meant to be lived in freedom, it is not just an opportunity, it is actually a duty.  For every human who remembers that fear, limitation and lack are a sad dream; the reality of freedom comes closer for all.

I am so grateful for the simple and yet profound ease with which this Teaching of Ascension helps a ready soul remember, not that one has returned to the Kingdom of Heaven, but in reality, we never left.
