Ever been mad at someone? The mind replays the event over and over, and you get more and more worked up? The power of the thoughts and the identification with them has an immediate response in the body; higher blood pressure, faster heartbeat. Tense!
Ever been grumpy? Nooo! Then it seems like every little thing adds to your grumpiness. Coffee spills, red traffic lights, parking ticket. Speaking from personal experience here hah!
What we focus on grows. The power of our attention is incredible. To be one-pointed on what we want always, always produces the results we seek. Think of the Winter Olympics champions, or any sports champion. Dedication, focus, commitment.
So much more rewarding to focus on what we want, not in a selfish way, but in a productive, increasing joy kind of way.
Then we very much become more like a creator of our reality rather than a victim.
Attention is a powerful thing. Important to direct it wisely onto that which we seek, rather that focus on that which we don't!
